Wildflower Seedlings (1 week) Tray 1 Bee Balm/Goldenrod
Last Sunday (Feb 27th), I planted Bee Balm and Goldenrod seeds to see how they would germinate. The Bee Balm seeds germinated after 5 days sitting on a heating mat in a lightly covered Tupperware container. I chose a rather large starting container because I really am not sure how big they are going to get or whether they are sensitive to being transferred. The Goldenrod is significantly slower in germinating under the same conditions. I started 3 more smaller starters of Goldenrod just in case I didn't get any in this batch. Historically, I have had poor success starting anything that wasn't a vegetable or a Marigold.
